APT Media has over 20 years of experience in public affairs, congressional, and crisis communication.
President, Angelo Terrana
Angelo’s communications and political counsel has long been sought after by those hoping to enhance their business and shape the agenda in the nation’s capital. With over 20 years of experience in communications, public affairs, and the media, Angelo is one of the most highly-regarded talents in Washington. His vast array of contacts inside and outside of the Beltway and his deep knowledge of the political and media landscape have enabled him to help organizations across the country achieve their goals.
Before founding APT Media, Angelo had a wide-range of experiences that put him at the nexus of communications inside Washington. In addition to serving as the head of public affairs for Ruder Finn, he also served as the top communications staffer for both Congresswoman Melissa Hart and Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Chairman Bill Shuster. In addition, Angelo also served as Congressman Shuster’s campaign manager for his first re-election effort – bringing the congressman’s vote totals up by more than 20 percent in less than two years.
Angelo most recently led a health-care association in D.C. and Maryland and was also a senior crisis communications counsel at Hill and Knowlton. Angelo’s unique perspective on crafting effective communications plans is understandable considering his time as the Deputy Managing Editor for the National Journal’s Hotline where he oversaw the publication’s political news coverage for the 1996 and 2000 presidential cycles.
Angelo has been a frequent guest on the Fox News Channel, MSNBC and many other outlets, providing political and legislative analysis. He is a graduate of McMaster University with an Honors Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.
